The University of Bern – McGill Partnership in Precision Medicine Seed Grant
Launched in early 2025, the University of Bern – McGill Partnership in Precision Medicine Seed Grant supports collaborative clinical research in personalised health and genomic medicine. As part of the strategic partnership between the University of Bern and McGill University, the grant fosters scientific excellence and transatlantic collaboration.
The grant funded 500 whole genome/exome sequencing (WEGS) samples from the University of Bern, allocated to two joint research projects (250 samples each). Researchers were invited to submit proposals in partnership with McGill University.
Grant Objectives:
- Stimulate innovative, translational clinical research
- Strengthen University of Bern and McGill University scientific collaboration
- Support diverse study designs across therapeutic areas
- Advance precision health and address unmet medical needs
Proposals were reviewed by the University of Bern – McGill Partnership in Precision Medicine Scientific Advisory Committee. Two outstanding projects were selected and are now being conducted in close collaboration with McGill University.
